- Roger hugged both of us and whispered, "Let's hope for a miracle. Sometime god helps, or doctors are wrong."
- We sat by the bed for half an hour and Roger did his best to cheer us up by attempting to talk about our classes and then asked about England. His efforts were futile. He said he'd stay by his wife during the night and sent us to sleep at my house.
